Elm City, NC-In convincing fashion Austin Holcombe held back the top 2 championship contenders to earn a $1500 win in the Southeast Dirt Modified Series at County Line Raceway. Leading every lap the win was the second of the season for Holcombe and his second win in three races in the 2021 season.

In Qualifying the quick time belonged to Austin Holcombe who qualified at a time of 15.825 seconds around the 3/8’s mile County Line Raceway. Chris Arnold would join him on the front row with a lap of 15.895 seconds.

In the feature Austin Holcombe and Chris Arnold would lead the field to the green and just like in qualifying Holcombe would show the raw speed to get to the lead early in the going. Arnold and Daniel Parker battled for the 2nd position and for points in the championship chase. An early caution for Mason Canter would bunch the field up but off the restart Holcombe again would show the way. Shawn Martin would recover from his 9th place starting spot to make his way into the top 5 over the green flag run.

A caution with 3 laps to go another caution would bunch the field up for one final restart with Arnold and Parker right behind Holcombe one last time. Holcombe would hold the field at bay to grab the win with Arnold finishing second, Parker, Lance Grady Jr and Shawn Martin would round out the top 5.
